ICIES News- At the 4th International Conference on Islamic Economics Studies (ICIES) 2024, Heri Junaidi and Haryati from Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Fatah Palembang and Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta presented their pivotal research titled “Fair Efficiency in Constitution Law 1945 for the Digital Creative Economy Approach to Shari’ah Economics.” This study delved into the transformative potential of the digital creative economy to bolster Indonesia’s economic growth in the post-Covid-19 era.
The research, categorized as library research, utilized secondary legal sources to interpret Article 33 of the Constitution Amendment of UUD 1945. The descriptive qualitative study aimed to explore efficient digital creative business patterns and strategies that benefit society. The key findings revealed a pattern of maslahah based on equitable efficiency and Shari’ah Economic principles, emphasizing togetherness, partnership, social justice, and mutual benefit.
The researchers highlighted the importance of creating a digital economy framework that fosters joint partnerships, allowing for the development of innovative and creative business models. The role of the government was underscored as crucial in providing support and creating an environment conducive to the growth of healthy digital businesses. The study proposed a measurable, efficient, and effective digitalization work system that maximizes profit for all stakeholders rather than benefiting individuals alone.
The conclusions drawn from this research indicate that a well-structured digital economy can enhance Indonesia’s national identity and drive innovations rooted in local wisdom. By adhering to the principles of fairness and efficiency outlined in the 1945 Constitution, the digital creative economy can serve as a robust platform for sustainable economic development, aligned with Shari’ah Economic principles.
This presentation underscored the potential of the digital creative economy to transform Indonesia’s economic landscape, promoting inclusivity and social justice while fostering innovation and creativity. The insights provided by Junaidi and Haryati offer a roadmap for leveraging digitalization to achieve broader economic and social goals, making a compelling case for the integration of Shari’ah Economics in the digital era.
